The Friends of Bromley Town Parks and Gardens have a number of exciting volunteering opportunities. These projects are making a real difference to the biodiversity of these parks, as well as improving the setting of the historical features in them.

Corporate Volunteering
The Friends of Bromley Town Parks and Gardens offer the opportunity for corporate volunteering – days out of the office where your staff can develop teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills while making a practical contribution to the environment. These can be as sessions just for the corporate volunteers, or joining with other volunteers on one of our Saturday work days.
We offer:
- Supervised, risk-assessed, outdoor activities that will be in contrast to the office environment.
- Helping the environment in practical ways: by clearing underbrush we are creating a diverse range of ecological niches to improve biodiversity, which is good for the environment and improve amenity value for park users
- Hands-on activity allowing the participants to deploy different problem-solving than in their normal line of work – for instance, building some log steps (and thereby improving accessibility to a larger part of the park)
- The opportunity for participants to develop practical teamwork skills in a risk-free out of the office session
- Creating log piles and we are open to the donation, filling and installing of an insect hotel in an area of high-traffic and demonstrated need.
- Opening up many other opportunities for social volunteering with the local parks that participants would not have considered before, increasing their involvement with their local community, and increasing the social contribution of your company.
